THE TWO TEMPLES

There are currently two temples being built on the Earth today: one natural and one spiritual.

Jesus Christ prophesied this very thing through a parable given to His disciples. In Matthew 13, we read about how a farmer sowed good seed in his field, but when the blades started to appear, a bunch of tares appeared with them. But instead of the farmer letting his workers go out and uproot the tares from among the wheat, he told them:

“Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.” (Matthew 13:29)

Is not that the way it appears today? Can you discern how Christians are now growing up in the Earth seemingly surrounded on every side by evil perpetrators that are totally removed from the light of God?

These are the tares! And their only goal is to “choke” the Word of God from the hearts and minds of God’s children in order to hinder their faith and cause them to stumble in the way. They do this through Satanic deception and the creation of chaos in every conceivable institution (government, education, finances, food distribution, social engineering, media, family, etc.).

There is a purpose … a goal … a unified effort on the part of these evil entities to establish a one-world government and a one-world religion in which all the peoples of the Earth will accept and enter into an agreement with. Nothing that is happening today is random or by happenstance. It is a “plan” which Satan himself has been trying to establish on the Earth for thousands of years … influencing the hearts and minds of corrupt men and women to play a role in this effort. They are being deceived!

But we are NOT deceived! We know “in whom we have believed”! We are the wheat who have been planted in this Earth at this time in history to be a light unto the world. And we worship God in His temple that dwells in the heavenly places.

“For through him (Jesus Christ) we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” (Ephesians 2:18)

“In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:20-22)

The tares are also growing up together, but their temple is corrupt and their ultimate leaders will be the man of sin and the false prophet.

As Jesus Himself prophesied to the Jews in Jerusalem concerning the temple which then was and will be:

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!” (Matthew 23:37)

“Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.” (Matthew 23:38)

Their temple became desolate the moment Christ died on the cross and the veil separating the Holy of Holies was torn in two. And then the physical temple itself was destroyed in 70AD … never to rise again as a dwelling place for the Spirit of God. This fulfilled Jesus’ saying to the woman at the well:

“Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father … But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.” (John 4:21,23)

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)

Any future temple built by the Jewish people will also be desolate. No amount of man’s rituals and ceremonies will ever be holy enough to house the presence of God!

“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21)

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1Corinthians 3:16)

Right now, as the tares and wheat are growing up side-by-side in their respective temples, the Lord is saying to His angels:

“Let both grow together until the harvest” (Matthew 13:30)

But, as we grow closer to the end of this age, at some point the Lord is going to command His angels:

“Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” (Matthew 13:30)

In this author’s opinion, the “gathering together” is taking place right now as we see the world being split into two distinct groups: those who love God and those who hate Him.

The tares of this world who hate God are going to be “burned”, but the wheat in this world who love God are going to be “harvested”.

Therefore,

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels … When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.” (2 Thessalonians 1:7&10)
