Because all born again, Spirit-filled Christians possess the same spiritual DNA from our Father in heaven, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. But more than that, we are all CONNECTED!
Whether we are able to fellowship one-on-one in the natural is really, at this time, a moot point. The world is changing so quickly, that the Spirit of God is doing a wonderful work!
“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:14-16)
We ARE the “body” of Christ!
And Christ IS our “head”!
And the Father…
“…hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” (Ephesians 1:22-23)
It’s amazing to ponder the fact that the church (i.e not the physical building, but the spiritual house) is the fullness of God that fills everything!
“Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.” (1John 4:13)
And because we have received of His Spirit, the same GLORY which manifested through Christ is also within us. While speaking to His Father, Jesus prayed concerning this very thing:
“… the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” (John 17:22-23)
The world has yet to see the body of Christ functioning in the love and unity of the Holy Ghost. In a world filled with chaos, there is no greater witness to a lost and dying world than for men to behold the glory of God manifested on the Earth! And the time is fast approaching when that glory will be manifested through His saints.
“For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” (Romans 8:22)
“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God” (Romans 8:19)
Can you feel the birth pains?
The entire world feels it, though they are not able to comprehend the “man-child” that it is to be “caught up” as soon as those birth pains come to their fullness and bring forth the glorious fruit of the womb. And be assured, the whole world will indeed witness that birth!
Jesus said,
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” (John 12:24)
Brothers and sisters, we are that “fruit” … birthed into one body by the Spirit of Christ!
“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.” (James 5:7)
And not only so, but as we wait upon the Lord…
“…unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:7)
All of us have been given grace to fulfill our particular place and purpose in the Body. None is more important than the other. We all function together as one, though we may not be known of one another in the natural realm.
“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.”
“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Ephesians 4:4-6)
And when that “body” (through the edifying of itself in love) reaches full maturity unto a “perfect man”, then the world will know that the Father has “sent us” and they will WITNESS the glory of God such as never before … culminating in nothing less than the “manifestation of the sons of God” upon the Earth and the inevitable resurrection of His saints!
While interpreting one of Daniel’s visions which led up to the revealing of the man of sin, the angel strengthened Daniel and spoke of a group of saints who walked in neither fear nor doubt … though they were seemingly surrounded by trouble on every side:
“…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many.” (Daniel 11:32-33)
Whether one holds a “pre-trib”, “mid-trib” or “post-trib” view, the fact remains that (even now) God is preparing a people who will walk in the power of the Holy Ghost who will be STRONG … perform EXPLOITS … and INSTRUCT (i.e. encourage) many!
So…
“…you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels … When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe” (2Thessalonians 1:7,10)
