When we were conceived in our mother’s womb, the DNA in the blood of both of our parents combined to create a unique individual. And every one of us that came forth from the womb received from God a “measure of faith” in order to believe the eternal Word of God.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:1,4)
“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which LIGHTETH EVERY MAN WHICH COMETH INTO THE WORLD.” (John 1:6-9)
At some point in our lives, when we allow that “light” (which was given to us at birth) to exercise faith in the living Word of God and receive the Spirit of Christ, we become born again of the Spirit. But this time, our “birth” consists not of the DNA which existed in our parent’s blood, but that which exists in the blood of Jesus Christ His Son … whose own DNA came from God the Father.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood (from our natural parents), nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13)
In his letter to the Church, John made a heart-felt statement to his “little children”:
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God … now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” (1John 3:1-2)
We ARE right now … “His Sons”!
And God IS right now … “Our Father”!
Jesus tried to emphasis this fact to his disciples when encouraging them to pray:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you … and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.” (John 16:23, 26-27)
What an amazing promise!
Jesus is declaring that, because God Himself is our Father through receiving the blood of His Son Jesus Christ into our hearts when we become born again, we have the same eternal DNA in us that exists in the blood of the risen Christ … which truly makes us our Father’s sons indeed!
To go a little deeper here and further amplify this point, the resurrected and eternal blood of Christ now abides in the Spirit:
“But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come … by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the BLOOD OF CHRIST, who THROUGH THE ETERNAL SPIRIT offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:11-14)
If we have His Spirit abiding in us, then the same life-giving blood which carries the Father’s own DNA (which was sprinkled on the mercy seat in heavenly places via the Spirit) … also flows through us … not in our mortal flesh, but in our spirit.
“And if Christ be IN YOU, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:10-11)
WOW! SELAH!
Let that sink in a little.
Now, that little piece of revelation was just to further emphasize the depths of our new-found relationship with the Father. Because we …
“… who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13)
“For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” (Ephesians 2:18)
And, therefore, we have access to our Father DIRECTLY … because we ARE of the SAME BLOODLINE!
Why is this so important to realize and act upon?
It’s important because the chaotic days in which we find ourselves currently are requiring us to draw ever deeper into a strong relationship with our Father and His Son Jesus Christ. For decades, the church at large has fed its congregations with a steady diet of everything ranging from entertainment and man-made philosophies to outright deceptions. Instead of guiding their “flocks” into maturity by encouraging them to feast upon the Word of God for themselves, pastors and televangelist celebrities have pursued an agenda of “submission” and “control” keeping the sheep dependent upon the religious hierarchy rather than God. This has left many Christians weak and anemic when it comes to having an active and personal daily fellowship with their Father. This, in turn, has rendered them undisciplined in discerning, hearing and obeying the Father’s voice!
It has almost become past time for those who may have neglected their intimacy with God, to now quickly fill their vessels (i.e. lamps) with the illuminating oil of the Holy Ghost necessary to personally receive and partake of God’s intimate wisdom, knowledge, and discernment … without which it’s impossible to survive the current onslaught of Satanic lies and propaganda currently being fed to humanity on a global scale.
The good news is:
Even now, that precious oil is abundantly available to those who would choose to seek after it! Our Father is continually reaching out His arms to every blood-bought child of His own with not only His mercy and forgiveness, but also with the POWER of His grace necessary to overcome EVERY obstacle that the enemy of our souls might throw at us.
We are called to be OVERCOMERS in this life!
And overcomers WE SHALL BE … through the “love wherewith He already loves us”! We need but lay our hearts upon His breast … even as the Apostle John did with Jesus.
John became so caught up in the love of God during his lifetime, that he opened his first letter with a revelatory testimony … which, by this time, should also be our testimony to others:
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” (1John 1:1-4)
John is describing what he and others personally experienced both before and after the resurrection of Christ. But we have the privileged opportunity to experience that very same intimate and loving fellowship with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ … via the Spirit within us!
And if we do…
“… we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1John 1:7)
Have you ever experienced the wonderful sense of a holy cleansing which accompanies having fellowship with one another? Have you ever experienced the love of God (which is the bond of perfection) that was shed abroad in your hearts as you and your brothers/sisters dwelt in unity and had sweet fellowship with one another in Christ?
There’s nothing like it! And it can only occur between true sons and daughters of our heavenly Father.
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20)
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity … for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” (Psalms 133:1,3)
There’s a BLESSING to be had when we fellowship together in the unity of the Spirit. And that fellowship can only occur if we first have that precious unity which comes from an intimate and loving fellowship with our heavenly Father!
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20)
