Many books and articles (and, especially, YouTube videos) have been published on this subject. They have defined the “mark of the beast” to encompass everything from a physically inserted chip in the hand to some sort of spiritual designation of not observing the Sabbath Day. We present the following as a possible alternative, and it’s not as mysterious as one might think.

Many events have been transforming the world in these last days. And these events are not just natural in the sense of floods, famines and earthquakes, but also in the form of nations beginning to spiral into perplexity and also in the form of technological advancements which have been expanding exponentially. It is these last two aspects we would like to consider: world governments and technological advancements.

 

WORLD GOVERNMENT

There are different types of governments currently in operation upon planet Earth. They include democracies, theocracies and dictatorships. There are socialistic, communistic and even tribal nations. Some are as small as the Vatican and as vast as Russia. Some are sparsely populated like Mongolia, while others are densely populated such as India. In other words, nations (and their corresponding governments) come in all shapes and sizes … almost 200 to be exact. Is there actually going to be a One World Government in this end time?

Well, “yes” and “no”! We’ll get to that in a minute. But first, let’s briefly examine a major phenomenon taking place in the world.

 

TECHNOLOGY

One does not need to be a NASA Space engineer to understand how quickly technology is playing a part in our daily lives. With the advent of smart phones, the internet, robotics, RFID chips, self-driving vehicles and quantum computers (to name just a few), our lives will never be the same. Add to this list, social media giants such as Facebook and Twitter, the use of surveillance cameras (which now have the ability for “facial recognition”) and the profiling of private individuals through mega-data sharing contained in the “cloud”, and one can begin to understand the vastness of technology’s reach into the most intimate part of our lives. Even our televisions have the ability to listen in (and in some cases “view”) what is happening in our living rooms. This is all leading to what is called the “Internet of Things” (IoT) which will eventually be possible through the use of the up & coming 5G cellular network. It will most likely be continuously monitored by some version of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through the use of self-learning logarithms and computer capabilities.

In India, a program named “Aadhaar” has already been implemented to digitally identify that country’s 1.5 billion citizens. Its purpose is to collect each Indian citizen’s information, such as fingerprints and eye scans, in a database linked to every part of that person’s digital footprint — bank account numbers, cell phone details, social media contacts — everything! Without being “in the system”, Indian citizens can’t procure governmental services or even attend school. India’s government has even made larger denominations of cash illegal and is well on the way to becoming the first nation on Earth to implement a completely cashless society by digitizing their entire monetary system. Let the implications of that sink in a little. This isn’t science fiction … this is happening now. And it’s not just India. Law enforcement agencies across the globe are now tracking down suspected criminals by “tapping” into the facial recognition capabilities of social media apps. Every time an individual uses his facial features, iris scan or fingerprint for “Sign-In” purposes, that information is available to law enforcement. There are no laws currently in place to prevent this. Even Ancestry.com is now collecting DNA information freely given to them by vast amounts of individuals who cannot discern what it means in terms of their privacy … not to mention their very freedom.

 

THE USE OF MICROCHIPS

Implanted RFID chips are already being used in business for everything from tracking packages to human beings. There are infamous “grain-of-rice” chips and RFID products called “nano-bots” that are very tiny computers. You can swallow them or have them injected. They are used for security purposes, identification, passwords and many medical procedures. The list is actually endless.

But does the use of these technologies constitute the “mark of the beast”? Actually, the answer is no. Though we would not recommend receiving any of these “chips”, there are many Christians that have these devices in their bodies already. Pacemakers, which contain RFID chips in order for the doctor to read the information stored in those devices, are a good example. But, obviously, having a pacemaker is not the “mark of the beast”. In all actuality, you could conceivably have a dozen of these RFID chips in your body for a number of different reasons and none of them would constitute the “mark”.

So, what IS the “mark of the beast”?

To understand it, we have to re-visit the coming “one world governance”.

 

THE ONE WORLD GOVERNANCE

 Notice, we did not use the word “government”. In the last days, most of those 200 “governments” will still be in existence. But they will all be under an umbrella of “governance” known as a TECHNOCRACY. All the peoples of the world, regardless of what “type” of government, will be subject to total control by the very technology that they so willingly accepted as the newest and most exciting scientific advancements. By the time the man of sin is revealed upon the Earth as foretold in scripture, the entire globe will have already accepted and come under the hidden control of the Internet of Things. Nothing in their lives (from banking to entertainment to utility usage to shopping to paying bills) will be conducted outside the digital “cloud”. This cloud will be serviced and maintained by a network of thousands of miniature satellites beaming the internet to every man, women and child on Earth. No activity will be beyond its scope or reach. No financial transaction (which will be digitized by that point), no visit to the mall, no walk in the woods or going to a movie theatre will be done unmonitored or unrecorded by some compartmentalized data-collection center in the cloud known as your “personal profile”. This is already happening to some varying degree throughout the world. Considering the exponential speed at which technology is advancing, it won’t take a lot of years for this scenario to reach total fulfillment and unleash its evil agenda.

The irony of this total lack of privacy is it will be accomplished without coercion or force, and many will accept it as just a part of their daily existence … which Millenials are already doing as they engage freely in the digital world of virtual reality games and social media. They will carry on with marrying, eating, drinking and enjoying “life as usual”. And, as they do, this technocracy will be governing quietly behind the scenes and totally hidden from public view. But it WILL have the POWER to RULE their lives!

Even today, you can feel its growing influence over your life. But this technocracy, in and of itself, is not the “mark”.

 

THE MARK OF THE BEAST

The first thing to realize about the “mark of the beast” is that it is implemented at a specific time, for a specific purpose and by a specific individual. Now is not the time, nor is the individual present. Hence, the very purpose for the mark does not yet exist.

Satan, as one whose goal has always been to “exalt his throne above God”, has always demanded one thing from his servants: “worship”. Without worship, Satan cannot view himself “as God”. And God, in his infinite wisdom, is going to give Satan his desire. Satan will receive “worship” while possessing human flesh in the form of the “man of sin”. The scriptures describe this phenomenon in the following manner:

“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.” (Revelation 13:1)  

“And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” (Revelation 13:2)

“And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” (Revelation 13:3)

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:4)

The dragon (Satan) gives his supernatural power to this beast through the “healed head” known as the man of sin. In fact, this man is actually possessed by Satan himself in the same manner that “Satan entered into Judas” … which then motivated Judas to betray Christ. Satan receives worship vicariously through this man of sin as he works his Satanic power and brings about Satan’s purposes upon the Earth. In its simplicity, the man of sin will be Satan incarnate in human flesh, just as Jesus Christ was God incarnate in the flesh.

“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.” (Revelation 13:5)  

“And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” (Revelation 13:6)

“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” (Revelation 13:7)

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Revelation 13:8)

Here we see Satan, through the man of sin, blaspheme God, receive power to overcome the saints and receive total control over the entire planet along with its peoples. And, through it all, he causes all the peoples of the world to worship him.

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” (Revelation 13:11)

“And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.” (Revelation 13:12)

“And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,” (Revelation 13:13)

“And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.” (Revelation 13:14)

“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” (Revelation 13:15)

Here are a couple of conclusions that we can make from the five verses listed above:

1) The “second beast coming up out of the earth” (referenced in scripture as the false prophet) has the same power as the man of sin and, as such, causes miracles, signs and great wonders to occur in the presence of the man of sin.

2) This false prophet also causes men to create an “image” of the beast just like Nebuchadnezzar did in the Book of Daniel. Only this image is sure to be a “technological” marvel that is able to both speak and be understood in any language and will cause as many that do not worship the beast to be killed. It’s not difficult to imagine some sort of virtual reality image that is controlled and empowered by a world-wide system of super computers … all connected together within the Internet of Things (i.e. the “cloud”) and empowered by the false prophet.

Now we get to the crux of the matter. How does he cause all that will not worship the beast “to be killed”?

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:” (Revelation 13:16)

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:17)

What a simple way to bring the entire world into the total submission of Satan!

Conceivably, everyone will have a time limit (maybe 30 to 60 days) to go down to their local WalMart (or whatever center is convenient for that locality worldwide) and receive a mark specifically in their hand or forehead. The sole purpose of this mark is to denote that individual’s “submission to” and “worship of” the image of the beast (like in the days of Nebuchadnezzar). It’s basically a sign of ownership … just like slaves used to be branded by their masters. This mark does not have to be electronic or visible, but it does have to be permanently engraved or stamped on the flesh (maybe by some sort of laser machine). Whatever device implements the mark, it will have already been hooked up to the “cloud”. This machine will instantly know who you are through facial recognition (or an iris scan as you place your forehead against the unit just like you do when you get a Driver’s License), and it will already have access to all of your personal information. There won’t be any need for the operator to see your Birth Certificate or other identification. When an individual receives this mark, that action will be instantly recorded in his computerized personal profile which has already been activated and is currently programmed within the digital cloud. This will allow those who receive the mark to just go on living as they always have been … buying and selling and enjoying life as usual … nothing changes. They walk out just like they walked in, except now they belong to the kingdom of Satan and may also have become demon possessed through this voluntary act of disobedience.

Contrariwise, those who refuse the mark and have passed the imposed time frame for receiving such a stamp, will simply have their entire electronic profile (which governs every aspect of their lives from buying & selling anything and everything) … deactivated! They won’t have access to their digital currency. They won’t be able to pay their mortgage or taxes. They won’t have access to pharmaceuticals or medical services of any kind. They won’t even be able to buy a gallon of gas to power a Moped. Their secular life is over … and their “testimony” to the world has just begun!

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:11)

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13)

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matthew 24:14)

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:” (Revelation 14:9-10)

 

SUMMARY

The mark of the beast is a specific stamp or engraving on a specific part of the body (right hand or forehead), implemented at a specific time (after the revealing of the man of sin) by a specific individual (the false prophet) and for a very specific purpose: the acknowledgement of each living individual on Earth of their ownership by and their loyalty to their master Satan … as they voluntarily worship him as God by way of the man of sin and his subsequent image.

The takeaway here is to realize that the mark, in and of itself, possibly has no power over an individual. However, receiving it is an outward act of obedience to Satan which “seals” an individual into his worship of Satan and the man of sin … just like Christians are “sealed” by the Holy Spirit through their act of obedience to God when, by faith, they receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and are “born again”.

The real power in the secular realm is the technocracy which is already benignly creeping into our daily lives. The man of sin simply becomes the head of this form of governance and then uses it to implement his diabolical scheme to have “power … over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations”. Then he uses that power to “cause all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads … that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark…”.
